About This Property

A rare East Bay offering where Bay views, gardens, pasture/mini-orchard, studio and exceptional indoor-outdoor living come together on nearly 1/4 acre. With mostly one-level living (one step), the simple mid-century farm house invites light and the outside in through the big picture windows found throughout. Enter into a nice sized living room from sweet front garden. There is one full bedroom and bath off the living room and another two bedrooms with full bath on the other side of the house-great separation of space. The kitchen perfectly flows to the dining area, which has sliding glass doors that open to a large deck overlooking a lush, well established hummingbird garden and views of the bay. It's a stunning natural setting for morning coffee, outdoor dining and entertaining or relaxing while enjoying sunsets. Meander across the deck to a separate 277± SF studio and adjacent full bath. The unique studio, formerly the horse barn & chicken coop, has its own entry patio and large picture windows, all providing extensive bay views. A sliding glass door opens to a peaceful slate patio at the edge of the mini-orchard. These are incredibly peaceful, beautiful spaces to enjoy indoor/outdoor living and gardening. This hidden gem location is exceptional for those who value both nature and connectivity. Just two blocks from historic Alvarado Park, residents can step from the neighborhood into the Wildcat Canyon Regional Park trail system (~2,789 acres of trails) for morning walks, weekend hikes and miles of open space. Enjoy convenient access to Berkeley, El Cerrito, Richmond and Oakland, with the greater Bay Area: Orinda, Walnut Creek, San Francisco, Marin and wine country also within easy reach. This is a truly special property for those who value nature, views, privacy and the ability to live, work and create in their own garden sanctuary while staying connected to urban lifestyle in the Bay Area.
