RURAL RETREAT OR RUSTIC COTTAGE: Use of vintage Knotty pine paneling in kitchen, and living area communicates a simpler time, and place. Many of the homes built after WWII used Knotty pine paneling not only because of its distinctive sense of character, but it was less expensive than drywall(sheetrock). The nostalgic quality of paneling conjures up what can be done to respectfully retain, and revive what already exists in this 2-bedroom, 1-bath home. Many of the homes of that era, although small, had good size yards. And this home is no different. Large level lot has the gardener in mind as there is room to minimize or maximize what designs you have in mind.

ZIP averages use publicly displayable closed sales from our licensed MLS feed, matched to the same ZIP and exact property type. Months with fewer than 3 sales are omitted; the current month is incomplete. Lines connect available monthly observations across gaps and do not represent measured prices in missing months. These averages are not adjusted for size, condition, or location within the ZIP, and are not an appraisal. Feed coverage may not include every sale. All available shows the available home and ZIP history, with mortgage rates over the same dates.
Mortgage benchmark: Freddie Mac Primary Mortgage Market Survey®. © Freddie Mac. Weekly national 30-year fixed rates, not APRs or a loan quote. Actual terms vary. Methodology changed in November 2022. The chart does not establish that interest-rate changes caused a home’s price changes.
Lines connect recorded asking and sale prices. They are visual guides, not estimates of the home’s value between those dates.
No earlier records were returned by our current sources. This does not mean the home has never sold.
MLS records may be incomplete. Earlier asking prices are not sale prices.
